Trailer: Marvel’s “Werewolf By Night” Special
Amidst the swirl of announcements and Disney’s D23 event over the weekend, Marvel dropped the first trailer for their Werewolf By Night adaptation, which the studio is dubbing a “special presentation”, as the project is considered a one-off, similar to the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The feature has been heavily rumored to be hitting this year, but this trailer finally makes it official. Along with audiences getting a first glimpse of the property, it was also that revered composer Michael Giacchino is in the director’s chair. Giacchino has extensive knowledge of the MCU and seems like a great fit, previously composing scores for several notable Marvel films, such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and Thor: Love & Thunder.
Gael García Bernal will be taking the title role, with Laura Donnelly playing opposite him as the female lead/love interest. Should the special prove a success, it could lead to future appearances, though nothing has been announced as yet. Though with the inclusion of Blade for Phase 5, the rumors of Ghost Rider returning to the fold, as well as recent inclusion of Moon Knight, it’s possible that Marvel are planning for an adaptation of the Midnight Sons team.
Werewolf By Night will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service on October 7th.
