Trailer: Hulu and Marvel’s “Hit-Monkey”

Hulu has dropped the first trailer for their upcoming Marvel R-rated animated series, Hit-Monkey, from “Blades of Glory” duo Will Speck and Josh Gordon. The action-comedy will follow the aforementioned erratic primate, who happens to also be a hitman and the crazy hijinks that ensue.

The production is a remnant of a Marvel Television initiative that was looking to build a mini animated Marvel universe on the streamer. However, upon taking full control, Kevin Feige closed that arm of Marvel and Marvel Studios absorbed everything that Marvel Television had been working on.

Most everything was canceled outright or repurposed, but Hit-Monkey, along with Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., which dropped earlier this year, were two of the few survivors of the merger. Whether this is a one-off or not remains to be seen, but a good reception, much like M.O.D.O.K. received, cold lead to more season.

Either way, fans will just have to wait and see, as Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, which features an all-star voice cast that includes Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Munn and George Takei, doesn’t hit Hulu until November 17th.
