Full Trailer: HBO Max and DC’s “Peacemaker”

James Gunn and DC’s upcoming series Peacemaker is one of the more exciting projects coming to HBO Max in the near future and the streamer just released a full trailer to kick the promotion into high gear.

The eight-episode series will pick up after the mid-credits scene showed that John Cena’s titular anti-hero/villain somehow survived what was assumed a fatal gunshot wound, as a pair of Amanda Waller’s ARGUS agents show up, claiming he is the key to saving the world. The show will also explore Peacemaker’s origins, as he’ll have to deal with his emotional baggage if he’s going to have any chance to save the day.

Cena is joined by an impressive ensemble that includes Steve Agee, Chukwudi Iwuji, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, and Freddie Stroma, with James Gunn once again the creative force behind the character, as well as showrunner and producer.

DC‘s Peacemaker will hit HBO Max on January 13th.
