“Cobra Kai” Third Season Trailer Released By Netflix

Netflix just dropped the first trailer for the third season of Cobra Kai. The show has proven to be a big hit for the streaming service. Fans have flocked to the nostalgia series, making this series return especially exciting.

Season two, which originally aired on Youtube before making the jump to Netflix, left the warring dojos of Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do in disarray. Following a brutal fight through the hallways of the local high school, one of Johnny Lawrence’s students is severely injured and former sensei John Kreese seized control of the karate studio.

The next set of episodes will take even more inspiration from The Karate Kid II, as it will see Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso heading back to Japan. While there he’ll try to figure out where he went wrong as an instructor and learn how to move forward without Mr. Miyagi, who’d passed away before the series began. He’ll even encounter actors Tamlyn Tomita and Yuji Okumoto, who are reprising their roles of Kumiko and Chozen Toguchi, respectively, from the original sequel film.

Many are hypothesizing that Johnny will find his way to Japan, as well. And, while there, he and Daniel will bury the hatchet (once again) and he’ll seek to understand the philosophy behind Miyagi-Do. It’s further speculated that the pair will then join forces, return to the United States, and confront the villainous John Kreese, wresting back control of Cobra Kai.

There is even a slight chance that Elizabeth Shue’s Ali Miller could play a small role. The character has often been mentioned in previous seasons and prominently responded to a social media friend request from Johnny, who’d been a little preoccupied with his former love interest, during the season 2 finale. Whatever happens, fans won’t have to wait long, as Cobra Kai is set to return to Netflix airwaves on January 8th, 2021.
