Trailer: Amazon’s “The Boys Presents: Diabolical”

Homelander attacking a civilian in "The Boys Presents: Diabolical"

Amazon Prime’s ultraviolent comic book adaptation The Boys was a huge hit in the summer of 2019 and became the first major success for the fledgling streamer. Since then, Amazon has wasted little time in expanding the franchise, with a third season expected out later this year and several spin-offs on the docket as well, with the streamer dropping a trailer for the animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

The show will act as a companion piece to the mainline series, telling unseen stories from within that universe featuring familiar characters, as well as filling in gaps in the series. There will be eight episodes each 12-14 minute in length. Interestingly, each episode will feature a different creative approach and have an animation style unique to that individual episode.

Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg and Aisha Tyler have all been tapped to create the shorts, which will all keep the tone of the main series. The Boys Presents: Diabolical will release in its entirety on March 4th on Amazon Prime.
