Red-Band Trailer: HBO Max And DC’s “Peacemaker”
HBO Max and DC have dropped one last trailer in the media blitz for their soon-to-release series Peacemaker. The trailer is of the red-band variety and showcases much more violence and vulgarity, particularly from John Cena’s titular hero. This show is based of the villainous character that first popped up in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, and became the standout player in that film.
Gunn returned as the showrunner for the program, writing all eight episodes, as well as directing five of the entries. Interestingly, Gunn has revealed that he is including a post-credit scene in every episode, and special features for the series will be available to watch on HBO Max alongside the show. Whether this is a limited series or the start of something larger is still up in the air, but Gunn seems keen on the idea of continuing.
In addition to the aforementioned John Cena, Peacemaker also stars Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, and Freddie Stroma and will debut on HBO Max on January 13th.
