Trailer: M. Night Shyamalan’s “Knock At The Cabin”
While M. Night Shyamalan might be on shaky ground with horror fans, especially given the tepid response to his last big film, Glass, Universal Pictures still has faith in the filmmaker and they’ve recently released the trailer for his next project, Knock at the Cabin.
The story follows a young girl (Kristen Cui) and her two dads who are suddenly taken hostage whilst vacationing at a remote New Hampshire cabin. Their captors demand that the family choose amongst themselves someone to sacrifice to avert the apocalypse, and no one is allowed to leave until a decision is made. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.
Shyamalan directs and co-wrote the script with Steve Desmond & Michael Sherman based on Paul Tremblay’s 2018 bestselling novel The Cabin at the End of the World. Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter) and Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth) play the two fathers, whilst Dave Bautista (Netflix’s Glass Onion), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Old), Abby Quinn (Little Women) and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter franchise) play the four antagonists.
Shyamalan, Marc Bienstock and Ashwin Rajan produce. Knock at the Cabin has been rated R, Shyamalan’s first to snag that rating since The Happening, and opens in cinemas on February 3rd. And there’s no way it could be worse than The Last Airbender, right?
