Trailer: Nicolas Cage Stars In “Willy’s Wonderland”

Nicolas Cage is having a slight rise in prominence lately, with the actor being linked to several exciting projects, such as hosting Netflix’s well-recieved History of Swear Words. His next film, however, is Willy’s Wonderland, which comes from Screen Media Films. The movie sees the eccentric actor portraying a murderous janitor in a story that is essentially co-opting the story from Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Cage stars as a brooding drifter who takes on a janitorial job at a condemned amusement park, but it’s all just an elaborate ruse. He’ll be forced to remain overnight at the park, where he’ll have to fight to stay alive as the animatronic characters come to life with vicious intent. If he can slay enough of the creatures and survive until morning, though, he’ll be allowed to leave.

Willy’s Wonderland seems like it’ll have plenty of B-movie fun, with the kicker being Cage’s often manic performance have few, if any restrictions, so things will likely get a little weird. The film hits video on demand on February 12th, though there is no planned theater release, as of yet.
