Second Trailer: Warners and DC’s “The Batman”
While a teaser for The Batman dropped last year at DC’s Fandome, it was very scant on info as only 25% of the film had been filmed by that point. This year’s event, though, saw a new full trailer debut to cap of the festivities, and it showcases a lot more action, as the project is well into post-production
The film will explore the Dark Knight’s adventures early on in his vigilante career, with Robert Pattinson portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman. The former Harry Potter star will be investigating a murder mystery involving the ever-dangerous and wily villain, The Riddler, as played by Paul Dano. The movie will also feature several other bad guys, such as Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Colin Farrell as The Penguin
The rampant corruption in Gotham that could tie back to the Wayne family will also be a central theme in the story. Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as D.A. Gil Colson are also a part of this impressive ensemble.
The Batman opens in cinemas on March 4th, and as yet is scheduled for a cinematic-only premiere and isn’t scheduled for HBO Max as of yet.
