New Trailer For “Marvel’s The Eternals” Showcases Ensemble
Marvel Studios has had a stellar 2021 thus far, with their small screen offerings on Disney+, particularly Loki, finding great success. However, their bread and butter is still the theatrical release, with the ensemble, The Eternals, set to be their next release.
As the media blitz for the project kicks into high gear, Marvel has released a new TV which showcases the superpowers of the various team members, as well as providing a look at the romantic lives of several characters and how the team acts as a unit, even if it is, at times, somewhat chaotic and dysfunctional.
The movie was directed by acclaimed director Chloe Zhao and features an all-star cast, including Brian Tyree Henry as the genius inventor Phastos, comedian Kumail Nanjiani as the ultra-powerful Kingo, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Lauren Ridloff as the speedster Makkari, and Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden as the supposed leader, Ikaris.
And while not officially part of the proper Eternals team, the feature also includes the former Jon Snow Kit Harington as Dane Whitman/Black Knight, Salma Hayek as the wise leader Ajak, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.
The story spans millennia and details the lives of the long-lived and aptly named Eternals, and their struggles with their great foes, The Deviants. The crux of the film will see The Eternals having to come out of hiding to face off against their age-old rivals, though would brings the nefarious villains back into the world has yet to be revealed.
Recently, given the success of recent releases, it was announced that The Eternals would debut exclusively in theaters on November 5th, while its theatrical predecessor, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, would hit Disney+ the following week on November 12th.
