First Look At Tom Holland In New “Cherry” Teaser
The MCU’s Spider-Man actor, the one and only Tom Holland has been selecting a lot of unique project outside of his superhero duties. He starred in The Devil All the Time for Netflix in early 2020, which lead to some good critical notices for the young thespian. His next feature will push him even further and Apple+ just dropped the first trailer for Cherry, from Avengers architects Joe and Anthony Russo.
Holland will portray an army medic who returns home. However, it’s not the bright homecoming many expect, as he’ll suffer from PTSD following his experiences fighting in the Middle East. In an effort to cope, he’ll begin to self-medicate, which leads to a prolific drug addiction and a turn crime in order to feed that addiction.
The trailer provides audiences with an introduction to the titular character as he heads to a local military recruitment office. This is certainly one of the more exciting projects that Holland has lined up outside of his MCU commitments. Cherry debuts in theaters on February 26th, followed by a PVOD release globally on Apple TV+ on March 12th.
