Trailer: Netflix’s “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the most long-running horror franchises going, with multiple direct sequels and reboots to its name. This time around, though, the franchise is going the Halloween, route, with Netflix’s upcoming sequel being a direct follow-up to the original and ignores all the other sequels and reboots of the franchise.
Elsie Fisher stars in the film which takes place nearly fifty years after the events of the first film, with Leatherface returning to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally stumble into the small town he’d been hiding in.
David Blue Garcia directs while Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead remake) and Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe 2) produce. Sarah Yarkin, Mark Burnham, Jacob Latimore, Moe Dunford, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, Jessica Allain and Nell Hudson co-star while John Larroquette is returning as the narrator as he did on the 1974 and 2003 films.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre will hit Netflix on February 18th.
