KFC Announces Its Own Video Game Console. Yes, Really.

Quick: what would you say the hardest part of eating delicious KFC fried chicken while playing video games is? Getting salt and grease all over your controller or keyboard? Misplacing your hot sauce? Concentrating on the game while trying to stuff your face full of that crispy golden goodness? Imagining a hypothetical scenario in which you’d want or need to do both of those things at once?

The correct answer, obviously, is not letting your chicken get cold during a marathon session of I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger-Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator (also a real thing that, until now, was by far the most ridiculous gaming-related thing KFC had ever been a part of). The solution, of course, is a console that uses the heat generated while you game to keep your chicken warm, and behold! Just such a solution has arrived in the form of the KFConsole, a collaboration between KFC and custom PC maker CoolerMaster. Well, a trailer has arrived anyway, along with some promotional images, which is enough to get the internet hype machine kicked into full gear. Check out the full reveal trailer below:

With widespread shortages of Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 ruining Christmas for many gamers, the console market is wide open for KFC to establish itself as a real player in the next generation of gaming. Throw in a side of mashed potatoes and a biscuit and we’re sold.
