“Dragon Age 4” Concept Art Showcases New Gear And Locations
Dragon Age 4 is one of the most highly anticipated games currently in production. The franchise is one of BioWare’s most critically adored, and the recently released trailer got fans hungry for more info. However, the developers are keeping mum on what is in store for the sequel.
Certainly, over the years, BioWare has dropped its fair share of hints, but there is really nothing specific. There are no concrete story details that have been divulged, nor is there any indication of how Dragon Age 4 will relate to the previous games. That mystery, though, is really helping to build up the hype surrounding the project.
Now, the game’s executive producer, Christian Dailey, has unveiled some new concept art the features a possible character, as well as a glimpse of some epic gear and a potential new location for the series. The artwork showcases a nameless character wearing a set of red-and-gold armor, complete with a full-face golden helmet. The unfamiliar warrior appears to be standing atop a large floating rock whist firing a clearly magical and powerful bow.

And while that is definitely intriguing, it’s the background that provides the real story of the image. The Dragon Age franchise has been defined by its adherence to a high-fantasy world rife with monsters, dragons, and deadly magic. The backdrop in this picture, however, is a little more mundane. This could be a signal that magic isn’t particularly prevalent in the Dragon Age world anymore.
While this is only speculation, it would open up some interesting avenues for the story of the game to explore. The plots of the previous games have often dealt with community unrest with magic wielders, so this could, indeed, be a logical step for the series to take. Whatever the case is, this image shows that Dragon Age 4 will have a very distinct look, in comparisons to what came before it. But what do you think? Are you excited for this sequel?
