“Cyberpunk 2077” Gets An Expansion And A Trailer

CD Projekt Red’s beleaguered Cyberpunk 2077 has had a long and rough road, though the developer has managed to turn things around, with many of the initial frustrations disappearing and game selling over 18 million copies to date. And continuing the upward trend for the title, an expansion titled Phantom Liberty has been announced.

It was revealed that DLC will be exclusive to the PC, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia only and will feature the return of Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves), which should attract some extra mainstream attention. The expansion will have a spy thriller theme and introduce a host of characters, as well as an all-new district of Night City.

There is no current release date, though more info will likely come out before the end of the year, likely to capitalize on the momentum from the anime series Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which is set to debut on Netflix on September 13th.
